The PT9 C-PROOF is a 30-day underwater locator beacon (ULB) for the protective data capsule of a voyage data recorder (VDR / S-VDR). It is activated by water immersion and transmits a locating signal for at least 30 days.
The beacon has been on the market for almost two decades. It uses corrosion-protected components and coatings and a patented activation that blocks out rain, sea spray and condensation, so unwanted activations are reduced to a minimum.
