The McMurdo SmartFind M12W is a Class B+ AIS transponder with 5 W SOTDMA transmission. Compared with a standard 2 W Class B unit it transmits with more power, reserves its transmission slots in advance and reports position more often (up to every 15 seconds, depending on speed), so your vessel stays visible in busy waters.
Built-in Wi-Fi (access point and client modes) sends AIS data to phones, tablets and PCs. Connection is also by NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183 or USB-C. An external GNSS antenna with 10 m cable is included.
