Each sensor measures heel angle, and the system automatically uses the sensor that sits lowest in the least aerated water for reliable speed-through-water, depth, water temperature and heel & trim data.

The Airmar TriSonic™ 2 Dual-Sensor Smart™ System pairs a port and a starboard ultrasonic Smart sensor that work as one system for catamarans, multihulls and wide-beam boats. Each sensor measures heel angle, and the system automatically uses the sensor that sits lowest in the least aerated water for reliable speed-through-water, depth, water temperature and heel & trim data.
Both sensors can also report depth independently, giving real-time depth under each hull for shallow water and marinas. No paddlewheel or moving parts. Calibrate speed at multiple heel angles and speeds in the free Airmar CAST™ app over Bluetooth®; calibrated data goes to the whole NMEA 2000® network. Retrofits into most existing Airmar 2" housings. Sold only as a complete pair (port UDST822 + starboard UDST820).
