GPS

A marine GPS or GNSS receiver provides position, speed and time to the bridge and feeds radar, ECDIS, AIS, DSC radios and the VDR. Modern receivers combine GPS with Galileo, GLONASS and BeiDou for better accuracy and resilience.

For SOLAS ships we supply the type-approved FLIR R6 NAV GNSS and DGNSS systems with MGL-5 or A31 antennas, and the add-on kit that shares one R6 CDU with an R6 SUPREME AIS.

Where GNSS jamming and spoofing are a concern, the FLIR R6 NAV PRO range uses multi-GNSS, multi-frequency reception with built-in interference detection. Choose R6 NAV PRO RTK for RTK-level positioning, R6 NAV PRO COMPASS or COMPASS+ when you also need satellite heading, or R6 NAV NEO for Panama Canal transits.

For smaller vessels we carry the Marinelite GP9000 GPS navigator and the Simrad MX612 junction box, and the Furuno GP-170 DGPS navigator is available on request.
